The Metro Hotel - Mechanical Installation

The mechanical re-development of the 15 storey Metro Hotel by Alpha Mechanical Services Ltd. consisted of the mechanical services installation to all areas including the bedrooms, bar, kitchen, reception, common areas and apartments. The building comprises of 30 apart­ments and 88 hotel rooms, from the basement to level 15. Partnering with main contractor Walls Construction the works included VRV air conditioning throughout the entire hotel, all new heat recovery ventilation, air handling units, new fire rated ductwork along with new fire dampers and fire smoke dampers. New mains water and cold water storage tanks along with new LPHW plant and equipment. New plant rooms complete with pumps and pressurisation units. New water services/gas services throughout and a new BEMS package for optimum control of the HVAC plant.
